The adult form of glycogen storage disease type II is a specific type of glycogenosis that is clinically less severe and more slowly progressive than the infantile glycogen storage disease type II. This type of glycogen storage disease type II differs from the juvenile form in age of onset. Acid maltase activity is variable, and involvement is limited to skeletal muscle.
